Outreach

The goals of the Cruise into Kindergarten initiative include building awareness of the importance of early learning in all communities in Pennsylvania. Libraries are encouraged to collaborate with other state and local agencies involved with early learning with the ultimate goal of promoting the role of libraries in providing early learning support.

What You Can Do to Promote Cruise in your Community:

• Reach out to outside agencies; PA Head Start, PA WIC, PA Keys, home and center-based childcare providers, pre-schools, pediatricians

• Share the Cruise into Kindergarten Activity Cards with parents and caregivers

• Distribute Cruise into Kindergarten and ECRR pamphlets in the library and beyond

• Increase awareness of the Cruise into Kindergarten online game and resources 

• Think about any unmet needs in the community that you could fill through a new outreach effort
